Located right in front of Ludlow’s medieval castle, this square is used for events and markets and is located adjacent to the main Ludlow Market Place in this beautiful prosperous town in the Welsh Marches.
Ludlow was once described by poet John Betjeman as “probably the loveliest town in England” but aside from having in excess of 500 listed buildings, Ludlow is justifiably famous famous for its food, having at various times been the location for numerous Michelin starred restaurants an the springboard for many great chefs who have gone on to prosper in London and beyond.
A major location for sourcing great ingredients it is also the home of the Ludlow Food Festival which now takes place in both the spring and late summer and which has acted as incubator for several start-up food businesses.
Home to many well-heeled retirees Ludlow also draws a substantial number of day and short-stay tourists who come to admire the lovely architecture, visit the six day a week market, eat in the many restaurants and browse the many gift shops.
