Although something of a legacy theme whose traders are increasingly being absorbed into other themes including Food and Drink, Home and Garden and Global Gatherings, we will still offer a Continental Street Market to support certain types of events and festivals such as
- twinning events;
- boules competitions; and
- international celebrations such as political, cultural and sporting events.
Our Continental Markets typically include stallholders from France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany; Austria and Eastern and Central Europe.
There is a focus on food on these markets with some crafts and gifts. Hot food sellers offering ‘food-to-go’ such as paella, pizza and German sausages normally comprise no more than 20% of the stalls on the market. Food produce stalls mainly sell artisan foods such as cheese, saucisson and fresh baked cakes and other products.
Some Continental Markets have stalls selling speciality beers and other niche alcoholic drinks but this depends on local requirements.
Craft stalls include soap sellers and vendors of quality shawls and jewellery. Overall our Continental Markets are of very attractive appearance and work particularly well in affluent locations where limited space might be available.
